On 24th and 25th July,STEM Learning installed and conducted the formal inaugural ceremony of Mini Science Centres, sponsored by 63 Moon Technology, in 30 schools in different villages located in Kudal, Kanedi and Sawantwadi Talukas of Sindhudurga district in Maharashtra.

The function began on 24 July,from Madkhol School no 1, Sawantwadi. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guests, Dr. Nagrajan, Independent director of 63 MOON Technology (IAS Officer), Dr.Rajendra, CEO Of  63 MOON Technology(IAS Officer), Mr.Pravin, HR, Mr. Sanjay, Admin from 63 Moon and Mr. Prasad Jangam, CSR Lead 63MOON.

STEM Learning was represented by Mr.AshutoshPandit, Owner, Mr.Vaidynathan, Consultant,and Mrs.Kalpana, Project Manager..

The Chief Guests were welcomed at the gate by the school authorities with Tilak Pujan, along with Lezim dance and a musical band. The students of the school welcomed the guests with a welcome song and prayer recitals, on the beats of musical instruments.

After the inauguration ceremony of the MSC, the Director of 63 MOON interacted with the Science teachers, and also with the students, regarding the uses and applications of MSC.  He also addressed the students on topics relating to their prospective future.

The function ended with plantation of trees by the guests.

On 25th July, a huge inaugural function was held at Kudal High School. The Chief Guests for the occasion wereMr UdayChaudhari, District Collector, Sindhudurga, and Mr Shekhar Singh, Educational Officer,Sindhudurga. Science teachers from 30 schools of the district were present for this inaugural function.

In their address to the gathering, theDistrict Collector and the Education Officer thanked  63 Moon Technologies and Stem Learning for implementing  the excellent project in the rural schools of Sindhudurga District.

Later, they also interacted with the science teachers, exhorting them to put the exhibits to good use and to cultivate the love of science in the minds of the students.

While visiting the schools, the guests were presented with an innovative creation- a ‘noise gun’, invented by  Master Nihar, a seventh standard student of ZP School, and also an innovative Maths model demonstrating each side of a square, created by the science teacher of the school. The inventors took inspiration from the Mini Science Centres to develop their creations.

The Mini Science Centres, installed in these 30 schools, will provide science exposure to about 15000-17000 students.
