Volunteer Engagement is a critical and integral part of the entire process of CSR in education. It helps to create a bond between the donor and the schools, bonds that stay strong even in the long term. STEM Learning provides customised Volunteer Engagement programs to donors to include as part of their CSR in education activities. The type of activity is based on requests from the corporate donors, and is designed to align with the thought process of individual corporates. In this program, we offer from our repertoire the following:
Industry Engagement: CSR in education is also about mentoring the children to use that education in the real world, to use it for the betterment of society.
Within this program, we invite experts from the donor corporate to give talks on connects between school learning and corporate business. This helps to further enhance children’s knowledge and understanding of product correlation in real life.
Quiz: As part of their CSR in education initiative, we help corporates to hold interesting quiz competitions in schools. These competitions help build confidence among the children, and inculcate critical thinking skills in them. The corporate can develop a databank of quiz trivia as interactive games, based on the children’s existing Maths and Science syllabus.
Model Learning and Designing: This can be achieved by explaining to them the intricate working of the models and how various scientific and mathematical models are developed for easy learning. They are also encouraged to design their own scientific models.
Creating database of online reference material/videos/websites: Corporates can help STEM Learning and concerned underprivileged schools to create a database of scientific and educational reference materials that can be accessed online. Educational videos, content and websites can be offered as support reference material.
STEM career opportunities in the Industry: The Volunteer Engagement team from the respective corporates can opt to present a talk to the children on future prospects for STEM students in the corporate world.
